New math homework will be available most Fridays. If it is returned before the following Friday, the student earns in class rewards. Homework is not graded. Math practice sheets available for homework: 1. Enrichment worksheets (These are more complex and challenging problems based on the skills learned in the current lessons.) 2. Drops in the bucket (These worksheets have a variety of math problems, meant as overall review/practice. Students should be able to pretty easily do most of the problems on these). 3. Math Facts worksheets ( These sheets are available for the students to practice their basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division facts.) Our HistoryNew language arts homework will be available most Fridays. If it is returned before the following Friday, the student earns in class rewards. Homework is not graded. Language arts sheets available for practice: 1. Spelling worksheets 2. Vocabulary Scavenger Hunt (A list of the weekly words and a sheet of direction cards will be available for students to take home, cut out, fill out, glue, and hide in plain sight at home. When a parent finds the vocabulary card, they follow the directions on the card and sign if the student gets the word right. The student can hide it again if they don't get it correct. Signed cards can be turned in for class rewards.) 3. Vocabulary worksheets 4. Typing agent (Students can practice typing skills from home once they know how to log in.) 5. Reading (Students should be reading for pleasure for at least 15 minutes a night. Students are working toward a goal of reading 40 chapter books this year, so while comics and picture books are absolutely okay to read, encourage a variety of reading types - including chapter books, graphic novels and non-fiction texts.)
